Typically crafted from durable elastic materials such as rubber or polyurethane, the air bladder expands when compressed air is injected, resulting in a secure grip on the rolled material. This inflation process effectively controls tension. The design and quality of the air bladder directly influence the overall performance and stability of the air shaft.

Air Valve: Serving as the linkage between the air shaft and the air bladder, the air valve facilitates the controlled intake and release of gas. This mechanism adjusts the expansion and deflation of the air bladder, regulating the tension exerted on the wound material. Equipped with valves, the air valve ensures consistent and stable gas exchange within the air bladder.

Air Gun: The air gun is a tool employed to inject or release gas through the air valve. Operators utilize the air gun to manage the inflation and deflation processes of the air shaft, thereby achieving the desired tension level for optimal performance.

Air Shaft Adapter: The air shaft adapter serves as the connector between the air shaft and various devices such as printing machines and coating apparatus. This component allows the air shaft to be compatible with different-sized cores and rolls, accommodating diverse materials and process requirements.

Safety Chucks: Essential for securing the connection between the core and the air shaft, safety chucks prevent dislodgment of the material during high-speed operations. By affixing the core, they ensure the safe and stable engagement between the core and the air shaft.

Mechanical Expanding Cover: Positioned at either end of the air shaft, the mechanical expanding cover functions as an auxiliary component. Through mechanical principles, this cover aids the expansion or contraction of the air bladder when rotated. It effectively controls the gripping or releasing of the wound material. This mechanical expanding cover is sometimes utilized in place of pneumatic tools like air guns in specific processes.
